‘India to be among top 5 air domestic travel markets globally’
India will be among the top five domestic air travel marketplaces globally by 2034.

The International Air Transportation Authority (IATA), in its first 20-year traveler development prediction, says by 2034, the five fastest-rising marketplaces in terms of additional travelers per season will be China (856 thousand new travelers per year), the US (559 million), India (266 million), Philippines (183 million) and Brazil (170 million). "Currently the 9th biggest market, Indian will see a complete of 367 thousand travelers by 2034, an additional 266 thousand yearly travelers compared to today. It will surpass the U.S.A (148 thousand additional travelers, complete market 337 million) to become the 3rd biggest market around 2034," the international body says.
It tasks that traveler figures may reach 7.3 billion dollars by 2034.
The current government’s pro-tourism plan has gotten in signs of resurgence in the market, which has experienced gradual development. Domestic air travelling has seen rapid growth. The airfare war launched by the domestic airlines has brought a surge of travelers.
